In 2004, the State Government announced that permanent caravan park residents residing in towns supplied with electricity by Synergy Energy (SWIS Customers) or Horizon Power (Regional Customers) would be eligible for Government energy subsidies and be given access to power priced at the uniform residential tariff rate, which is 13.94 cents per unit of power and 28.57 cents per day daily supply charge.
Regulations and Licence Exemptions enforcing the uniform tarriff have been in place since 1 November 2004.
Permanent residents of caravan parks who are concession card holders have been eligible for Government energy rebates since 1 July 2004. These are the: Supply Charge Rebate; Dependent Child Rebate; and Seniors Airconditioning Rebate. Elegible concession card holders should apply to Western Power for the rebates.
